Drinking Water Quality Testing Services
There are thousands of potentially-harmful chemical and biological contaminants that might find their way into your drinking water. This is true of your treated municipal water supply, your private well water, and even the bottled water that many take for granted. A discussion of what might be in your drinking water can be found here.
At Safe Water Essentials, we believe you should be concerned about the quality and safety of your drinking water. The health of you and your family is far too important to only assume your drinking water is clean and safe. Understanding what's in your water and how it might affect your health is an essential first step. Then, if the quality of your drinking water is questionable, selecting the appropriate water treatment products to protect you and your family is next.
As you may know, there are a number of very inexpensive "do-it-yourself" home water test kits available. These kits can be found at your local drug store or supermarket, many times for less than $10.00. And while these test kits may be useful in alerting you to a potential problem with the quality of your drinking water, they seldom define the degree of any potential problem and they're very limited in the number of potential contaminants that can be tested.
Because of the limitations of the do-it-yourself test kits, we advocate having your drinking water analyzed by a nationally-recognized, certified laboratory. As a service to our customers, we’ve established a relationship with just such an analytical services company that can provide the drinking water tests you might need. Our highly-respected partner provides a full range of drinking water testing services and has been helping homeowners understand what's in their water for more than 25 years. Their test reports have become the gold standard in water testing, and they're known for their prompt and reliable service, their reasonable cost, and the easy-to-understand format of their test results.
After you order a test from us, you'll receive a test kit via UPS ground service. Your kit will consist of sample collection instructions, sample bottles, test supplies and a return shipping carton. Some tests, but not all, require the sample you collect to be preserved with an included freezer pack to ensure valid and accurate results. In those cases, you’ll need to ship them to the laboratory via overnight service in the shipping container provided.
Once your water samples are received at the laboratory, they'll be analyzed by certified laboratory technicians using the best analytical equipment available. Within a few days (the time required for lab analysis depends upon the type of test required), you'll receive a detailed test report. The test reports are color-coded for easy interpretation and all aspects of the test are clearly explained. This is a sample test report.
