The AquaCera CeraMetix AMB gravity water filter element is the most advanced filter available. The AquaMetix QuickDrip carbon block core used inside a silver impregnated ceramic micro-filter outer shell provides essentially complete reduction of pathogenic organisms plus the reduction of aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, chloramines, chlorine, fluoride, lead, mercury, nickel, radionuclides, tri-halomethane, and zinc in a single, revolutionary ceramic filter element.
The AMB version offers more consistent filtration reductions over the life of the filter when compared to the GF version due to the water having to pass through the carbon block wall inside the ceramic filter element. The block ensures all the water has sufficient contact time, resulting in slightly higher reductions and more consistency than the GF versions.
The AMB version has a slower flow rate than the GF version due to the block core. Flow will taper off as the water in the upper reservoir drops, to maintain flow we recommend topping up the upper reservoir periodically.
SlimLine filters are 2" in diameter while Imperial filters are 2¾" in diameter. The larger diameter Imperial filters offer about 40% higher flow rates and longer life. These filter elements are for use in gravity filter systems only and should not be used in pressure filtration systems.
