The Aquatec ERP-500 Permeate Pump uses the water pressure of the waste water to pump the product drinking water into the storage tank. This protects the membrane from the back flow pressure of the tank, maintaining maximum pressure on the RO membrane at all times.
The Aquatec ERP-500 Permeate Pump is designed specifically for residential RO systems with a 50 gpd capacity membrane or less where noise is a key concern. The ERP-500 includes a specially designed insert which helps the system operate in near silence, eliminating the occasional clicking or gurgling sounds that can otherwise occur. The ERP-500 can easily be retrofitted to upgrade existing R.O. systems. If your RO system has a membrane larger than 50 gpd, you’ll need the standard ERP-1000 model.
• No electricity required, powered only by hydraulic energy normally lost to drain
• Improves water quality by insuring membrane efficiency
• Improves membrane life, prevents “TDS creep"
• Decreases product tank “fill time" by up to 65%
• Reduces drain waste-water by 80% or more
• Increases product tank pressure (up to 95% of feed pressure)
