When an Emergency Strikes...
Access to an emergency source of clean and safe drinking water can be critical in the event of an earthquake, flood, chemical spill, power grid failure, EMP attack (let's hope not!) or any of a variety of other potential disasters.
Most of you who are tuned into the need to prepare for such disasters are aware of just how important it is to have a supply of safe drinking water on hand. But do you have enough drinking water in storage if your power goes out and you have no safe source of drinking water for weeks or even months?
When things begin to get desperate, it might be tempting to drink water from pristine-looking streams, rivers, lakes or ground water. But doing so would be foolish because these water sources might contain micro-biological contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, parasites and other micro-organisms from animal wastes and the soil. These waters also may contain very high levels of dissolved minerals, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, industrial wastes, pharmaceuticals and various organic materials.
Even surface water in wilderness areas should be considered unsafe because fecal coliform bacteria and Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts from the intestinal tracts of warm-blooded animals frequently are found in pristine-appearing water. The last thing you need in an emergency situation is a disabling or life-threatening case of diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms consistent with common food poisoning. So it’s imperative that any water you drink in an emergency situation be treated to eliminate these potential hazards.

Gravity water filtration systems are ideally suited to satisfying this need. With today's water filtration technology, most potentially-harmful chemical and biological drinking water contaminants can be eliminated or reduced dramatically. Gravity filtration systems require no electricity, giving you off-grid independence. They're very easy to operate and can purify just about any fresh water source, including tap water, lakes, streams, rivers, ponds or rainwater.
Filtering your water couldn't be easier -- just pour the water to be purified into the top portion of the system, let it slowly filter through the filter elements to the lower storage container and it will be purified and ready for drinking.
These systems are ideally-suited for use in your home. But they’re also portable, especially the smaller models, so you can take them with you if you need to shelter outside your home. In addition, they can be used to improve the quality of normal drinking water where chlorine, fluoride, disinfection by-products, taste and odor and many other organic and inorganic contaminants might be present.
Although a number of systems are available from a variety of manufacturers, the systems we offer are probably the best overall value. The products are highly-respected, and they're more reasonably-priced and better constructed than most competitive products. The water filter systems are available in a number of sizes and filter element configurations, along with several optional features.

NOTE: Your peace of mind knowing you'll have safe drinking water in an emergency is probably worth way more than the cost of the system. So check out our gravity systems and take advantage of this offer.
