The new AquaCera AquaVas stoneware gravity water filter system is hand made in the USA and is finished in a lead-free glaze in your choice of an off-white (Bristol White) color or in a deep, dark blue (Colbalt Blue) color. It's a very unique and attractive alternative to the plastic or stainless steel gravity systems. NOTE: All AquaVas systems come with a stainless steel spigot instead of the plastic spigot shown in the images.
The heavy duty and durable AquaVas is designed for daily use in your home, office, college dorm room, RV or vacation home; and many consider it an essential part of their emergency preparedness gear. It's very easy to assemble and requires no tools to set up.
The AquaVas system is 9.5" in diameter and stands 20" high when fully assembled with the lid in place. It holds two AquaCera gravity filter elements in the one gallon capacity upper reservoir, and the lower reservoir holds two gallons of filtered water ready for use.
The system comes with your choice of either two 7" Cera Plus or two 7" CeraMetix-GF ceramic filters (either the SlimLine or Imperial sizes) or two 6" Chemix GB or two 6" Aquametix GB QuickDrip filters. With two ceramic filter elements installed, the system will filter about six to eight gallons per day; and with two QuickDrip filters installed, the system will filter about four to five gallons per hour.
NOTE: Imperial filters are 2¾" in diameter, while SlimLine filters are 2" in diameter. The larger diameter Imperial filters offer about 40% higher flow rates and longer life than the smaller diameter SlimLine filters.
You can use the AquaVas system with just about any fresh water source including tap, lake, stream, river, pond or rain water with the ceramic filters. However, the QuickDrip filters should be used only for municipally-treated water where bacterial contamination is not an issue.
The system requires no electricity -- just pour the water to be purified into the top chamber of the system, let it slowly filter through the filter elements to the lower chamber, and it will be purified and ready for drinking.
NOTE: All models qualify for free shipping within the continental U.S.
